The first Indian to win the Golden Globe Award for the film 'Slumdog Millionaire' is none other than AR-Rahman scored the Best Original Score for his music. This film got 5 Golden Globe Awards. The 66th Golden Globe Awards was telecast on January 11, 2009, from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, United States on NBC.
It picked up Best Director, Best Writing, Best Young Actor/Actress, Best Composer, and Best Picture. It also won the Best Drama Motion Picture Golden Globe January 11, 2009
