Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan - Teacher's Day
Still I remember those schooling days (evergreen days). It is my 4th standard, class teacher name is Mrs. Maria, a short-fat women. Those days I seriously hate her most because she always use to give punishment if homework was not done, She is the teacher for Mathematics & Moral Science. That was the first time “FRACTION” chapter was introduced, only if we remember the tables we can survive with fraction, but there again I am weak in tables where I was not taught in an understanding way. However, days gone by scoring border marks. Life gone like roller coaster with an unpredictable FAIL / PASS marks and successfully crossed 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th standards all in single attempt.
From my 3rd standard I was sent to Tuition. Those are the days where students sent to tuition those who are weak in studies; they will feel ashamed. Nevertheless, nowadays parents are proud to say that their children gone to tuition.
Coming back to my story I can able to survive my border marks until Quarterly, further the same fail mark story continues. My parents especially Mom will feel bad of my studies and arrange me to send tuition for last 6 months, because they have the believeness that I am getting pass mark only attending the tuition. Only their faith and prayers made to complete my schoolings. To give justice of my parents’ prayers and faith I took pledge myself.
My life changed when I was 9thstandard, my father got transfer to different place and I continued my studies from Matriculation to State Board. I felt easy to understand the lessons; gradually my progress missed with the red ink mark and showed a positive sign with green signal of scoring ranks. By surprise, I passed my 9th standard without attending tuitions. Some believeness came to my mind. I started listening to my teacher’s words, the advice they gave and lessons they taught in an understanding manner.
They are seriously a role model of my each movement. I started realising that I am becoming knowledgeable student among all. This time I would like to say my thanks to my Chemistry Sir Mr. Chokalingam, Physic Sir, Mathematics Sir Mr. Subramanium, he is well known for his punctuality and neatness in dressing, where he always come in Uniform (White Pant & White Shirt) 6 days in a week.
A big salutes to all my teachers who molded me to this much level. This is not going to be simple THANKS I would like to convey them, but above all, I wish they had to create more students with most talents for our country. From my 3rd standard I was sent to Tuition.
